Thaksgiving was fantastic. We decided to take a trip back to the Bay Area to see Sullivan family for the long weekend. We drove all day Wednesday to Ukiah, CA which is 2 hours north of San Francisco in the wine country. We spent wednesday night with grandpa, grandma and the Lee's. Thursday, Kyle, Debbie, Nathan and the twins; Brooke and Patrick arrived. Mom cooked a 25 lb turkey that we only ate 1/2 of! It was 70 degrees and sunny-nice! Friday we headed down to the Bay Area and the drive was gorgeous. We stayed in Emeryville right near the Bay Bridge. It is easy access to Shanna, Kyle, Derek and the City. We shopped and relaxed and swam during the day. For dinner we met up with Derek, Tristin and baby Drake born on Halloween. He is so cute! Saturday we toured San Francisco. We drove through Down Town and stopped at the Ritz Carlton. Most of the guys Tom worked with back in 1997 are still there. We said Hi and headed through North Beach, stopped at Coit Tower then on to China Town. The boys were in heaven. We got them ninja swords as souveniers. Then on to Haight-Ashbury for lunch. Our favorite restaurant in the city is Cha Cha Cha. It is a carribean restaurant with walls full of stuff. The boys played i spy the whole time. The food is incredible... We drove up to our old apartment at UCSF and let the kids run around. Next-the beach. We ran around and put our feet in the Pacific Ocean. It was pretty cold. We finished the day driving through the Presidio and took a photo at Lincoln Park Golf Course with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Whoo...It was a packed day. Sunday we got up early and drove home. We are thankful for our family and friends.
