Cameron's 6th Birthday!

Cameron chose to celebrate his birthday 1 week early while Dad was in town. Cameron chose Red Lobster since seafood is his favorite. He really wanted to actually get the lobster, but we were able to talk him into the snow crab legs instead. He loved 'em!
Our really nice waitress suprised him at the end of the meal with a huge lobster from the tank. He got to touch it and watch it squirm.

For Cameron's Birthday party we went to a Salt Lake Bees Baseball game. Cameron didn't want to stand next to the Bee mascot in a photo, so I took one with him in the background :)
It was a fun evening with hot dogs, powerade, cotton candy and kettle corn. I thought the kids would get ill from all the snacks. Overall it was a great birthday. Cameron told me at the game- "I just don't want this day to ever end!"

Good Bye Provo Dental

The last week in April I finished a 9 year career at Provo Dental Care. I have really enjoyed working there. The friends I have made and patients I have met will always be special memories for me. Sometimes in life change is good, even when it is difficult. It helps us grow. As I move on to new experiences, I am excited for what the future holds.

I'm a brunette!

I was really getting tired of the maintenance of my blonde hair. So I decided to try something closer to my natural color. It's been 10 years since I've been this dark and it's taken some getting used to but I think I like it.

Roxy in the snow

We had a big snowstorm a week or so ago. We woke up to a foot of new snow. It was awesome. Roxy enjoyed it the most!

"Quoticus"

Jackson has obtained a nickname for himself... Quoticus. He earned it from his sharp memory of movie lines. After seeing a movie, he will basically re-quote it to you, even if you were sitting right next to him during the movie...it can be a little anoying. However, I realized where he might have gotten this little gift from. If you look at our refrigerator, you will see little bits of paper taped all over it. They are clippings from magazines and horescopes from newspapers. Mostly inspirational things to keep us positive. Some of them are so good I thought from time to time I would share one on the blog under the title "Quoticus". Here is a recent one...

Let go of...The need to feel secure
We all have those times when we
don't know where we're headed or
who we are. But you can't grow
if you stay in your comfort zone.
Step into the unknown. Release
your need for guarantees. Your
life will evolve into something
better than you can imagine, if
you give it half a chance.
PS: as an update on the Hoods life...Tom is in Little Rock, AK for the summer selling alarm systems. Already he is having great success, but it is a challenge having him gone. We miss him a ton! I have taken a big jump and am trying out being a brunette for the first time in 10 years. I am still getting used to it and will post a picture when I feel a little more confident : ) I hurt my knee skiing 2 weeks ago but am doing well. No surgery needed at the moment. Kids are doing well. They are trudging along with school, hoping summer will be here soon.
